Moving - Part 2

On Saturday we finished putting the last couple of items in the truck and jeep. Then we said goodbye to our apartment and left.

some of the places we drove through were GORGEOUS
relaxing after a full day of driving

That first day we drove all the way to the top of Oregon to stay with Dave's brother, Lance, and his family for two nights. It was so cute watching Cohen finally get to meet some of his cousins and love playing with them even if they're much older than him.

After Oregon, we headed for our new home. When we got there we called up Dave's dad, who was staying in town with Dave's cousin, Laura, and they came over to help us get all unpacked. Cohen loved trying to help us unload the truck and run all over the new house and the backyard.

about to enter Washington

Over all Cohen did pretty fantastic, all things considered, with the BIG drive. He only tried to escape his car seat once (which resulted in me pulling over and having to get Dave to pull over too), cried a couple of times (thank goodness for cellphones and willing grandparents who love their little grand baby enough to talk to him on the phone), and he never spilled any drinks in the car (goldfish on the other hand went EVERYWHERE).

The drive was the longest I had ever driven by myself and I'm glad my mom and dad were only a phone call away when I started getting sleepy (which happened a little more than I had thought).

Dave was a trooper driving the giant U-haul truck all by himself. Luckily he could hook his phone up to this one to play music unlike the one we took down to California from Washington two years ago.
