Classic Pooh Party Pieces I Made

These are some of the things I made up for Cohen's party (I also made up a girl version too for fun). I love the look and feel of the Classic Pooh style and it was fun to add it to a more modern card design and not make it too over the top

thank you cards

Cohen's 1st Birthday Day

This is what we did yesterday for Cohen's actual birthday. Since he already had two parties it was a pretty low key celebration last night but all day I made sure to do things he loved like going for a walk, swimming, reading lots of books, etc. He got another slice of cake (leftovers from his party on Saturday) and got his two presents, a new carseat and a dinosaur I sewed for him (super last minute... I did it in like 4 hours and it was my first pattern sewing ever). I'm a little sad my baby is growing up so fast but he is such a joy in my life!

Happy Birthday to Cohen!!!

Today my baby boy turned ONE! This year has been amazing, exciting, and a blessing. There have been many highs with some lows (like his desire to wake up every two hours for MONTHS at night), lots of giggles, and amazement at how fast this little boy is growing up. I love watching him learn and develop. I look forward to the years to come with my little monster, even if that means he won't be a baby anymore but he'll always be my baby. I love you Cohen!

17 September 2013

My family got came to visit us this last weekend for Cohen's birthday party. They got in at 1 am on Friday. That day was filled with walking, shopping, eating, prepping for the party, and hanging out.
Saturday was Cohen's party day which we got finished up with prepping for by the time the first people showed up. The party was fun and laid back as everyone ate and watched all the babies.
After the party Cohen went down for his nap after which we went to Round Table for dinner and then to the park by the library. We had fun walking on the "squishy" flooring they have at the park, swinging, and running around. That night we played Disney Trivia as well as having Kiernan and my dad try out our Kinect.
The next morning we said goodbye. The weekend was a success even if it was short.
