Art Camp

So the week before Fathers Day Dave I had my art classes at our house. Dave was out of town at the same time which was handy so the noise level didn't drive him crazy while he worked but also meant I was a little bit crazier at the end of the week with the extra stress.
Monday I had them do self portraits and learn a little about Rembrandt, the expert at self portraits.
Tuesday everyone painted Van Gough's "Starry Night" and everyone did a great job recreating it.
Wednesday they learned about Henri Matisse and created their own cut paper pictures.
Thursday they got to play with salt dough clay and learned about Michelangelo.
And Friday they learned about Roy Lichtenstein and Ben day dogs and created pieces using their new learned technique with markers.

The week was extra crazy with Dave being out of town but we survived it. We even got to eat IN Costa Vida (something Cohen had been asking me to do for a few months now). We went to Target a few times and Joann's to get out of the house too. Packed full of crazy cleaning up after each camp session, movies, video games, and stress we survived it all.
